Summer Camp Registration 2014

This summer, give your children four mornings at Windrush Farm. It is an outdoor experience your child will carry with them for the rest of their lives. Children will learn about ranch animals and how to take care of them. They will meet chickens, goats, sheep, cows, llamas, and our favorite dogs. They collect eggs from the chickens and work in the vegetable gardens, learning where their food comes from besides the grocery store. Exploring in the pond, crafting farm art, working with wool, and making barn shaking music are a few of the activities your children take part in. On Thursday we will celebrate the work we have done with a pizza party in the wood-burning outdoor oven.

Our instructor to camper ratio is approximately 7 to 1.

Seven Christmas Gifts…

Make your own felted and knitted Christmas gifts at Windrush Farm.

(2263 Chileno Valley Rd, Petaluma, CA 94952)

This year, make a plethora of Christmas gifts for
your loved ones. Hand-made and home-made
gifts are so much more meaningful than store
bought. They are easy on the pocket-book and
people will use them over and over again and
save them for years to come.

We like to take you on a journey of a variety of
techniques, from wet and dry (needle) felting to
sewing to knitting, using a variety of materials
(some re-used or re-purposed) to get ingenious
and wonderful gifts that are great for Christmas
or the year around.

You will go away with several finished projects,
such as a felted bead necklace and earrings,
scrunchies made from dyed sheep curls/locks and
several jewelry pins from felted beads and curls,
and more ideas than you will be able to realize.
