Join us at Windrush Farm in Chileno Valley, just outside Petaluma, for a Fiber Fest with artisans selling local wool, hand spun yarns, roving in natural colors or dyed, hand-painted yarns, and yarn on cones. The Festival is free, and a great way to visit a small farm, meet fiber animals, and enjoy a day in the country.

Summer Camp Registration 2014

This summer, give your children four mornings at Windrush Farm. It is an outdoor experience your child will carry with them for the rest of their lives. Children will learn about ranch animals and how to take care of them. They will meet chickens, goats, sheep, cows, llamas, and our favorite dogs. They collect eggs from the chickens and work in the vegetable gardens, learning where their food comes from besides the grocery store. Exploring in the pond, crafting farm art, working with wool, and making barn shaking music are a few of the activities your children take part in. On Thursday we will celebrate the work we have done with a pizza party in the wood-burning outdoor oven.

Our instructor to camper ratio is approximately 7 to 1.

Animal Music at Windrush Farm – May 2014 Classes

This spring, we are happy to offer Animal Music at Windrush Farm… where our goal is for parents and children to sing together all the way back to town.

During each class we will visit the dogs, cats, sheep, llamas, chickens, cows and goats of Windrush Farm. And then we will return to the barn to sing, dance and make music celebrating all the creatures we met. Instruments will be provided.

Here are the details:

Who: For children ages 5 and under (no more than one adult per child please)

What: Farm focused music classes for kids.

Where: Windrush Farm located at 2263 Chileno Valley Rd, Petaluma

When: For the Month of May we will meet…

At Windrush Farm’s Spring Lamb Days your children will learn about farm animals and how to take care of them.

They will collect eggs from the chickens, herd sheep, feed goats and work in the vegetable gardens. Additional activities include exploring the pond, creating farm crafts, and working with wool.

Windrush Farm Summer Camp Update:

Thank you so much to all the families who sent in their farm camp applications early. We are very excited to report that our camps this summer are almost completely full. As of today, we only have space left in the following sessions:

August 1-4 and August 8-11.

So if you would like for your kids to come play with us on the farm this summer then please be sure to get your applications for August in very soon.

If you were hoping to get your child in to an earlier session, please know that those sessions are full, but we can put your child on a waiting list… just in case.
